Name:
Kainops raymondi Age: Lower Devonian Formation: Haragan Formation Location: Coal County, Oklahoma Size: Thrilobite is 1.4 inches long Price:SOLD
Here is a distinct specimen of Kainops raymondi from the Lower Devonian of Oklahoma. This trilobite is differentiated from Paciphacops by having more facets in the compound eyes. This specimen is quite large for this type and is nicely preserved. The bug is very 3-dimensional and exhibits fine detail. The granulose glabella is nicely displayed, and the compound eyes of the trilobite display the facets beautifully. The thick-shelled, caramel-colored trilobite contrasts wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. This is a nice, prone example of this large-eyed Phacopid trilobite from the Haragan Formation.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
