Location:  Coal County, Oklahoma

Price:  SOLD

Here is a very difficult-to-obtain trilobite. This is a large specimen of Viaphacops bomifrons from the Bois d'Arc Formation of Oklahoma. The trilobite is complete and tightly enrolled. This extremely inflated trilobite has absolutely no restoration. It has been meticulously cleaned in our prep lab to reveal the fine detail. This Phacopid trilobite is unusual in that it has a very small number of lenses in the eyes.  The fossil has a thick, caramel-colored exoskeleton, and has a  cool, natural depression on the nose. The trilobite displays beautifully on the large block of matrix. And it is fully natural and not composited - it is still partially encased in the rock. This is a very displayable specimen of an enrolled Viaphacops from Oklahoma.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
