This is a very fine example of a classic trilobite. This is a free-cheeked Elrathia kingi from Utah. This type is usually found under one inch in size - this specimen is larger than average. The trilobite has very nice articulation and fine detail preserved. The complete fossil is well showcased on the large, natural plate of shale. This is a cool, detailed example of Elrathia from Utah.
