Name:
Kainops raymondi Age: Lower Devonian Formation: Haragan Formation Location: Coal County, Oklahoma Size: Trilobite is 1.3 inches long Price:SOLD
Here is a nice, outstretched specimen of Kainops raymondi from the Lower Devonian of Oklahoma. This trilobite is differentiated from Paciphacops by the larger number of lenses in the eyes. This specimen is large and very nicely preserved. The bug exhibits fine detail - the granulose glabella is nicely displayed, and the large compound eye of the trilobite is quite evident. The thick-shelled, caramel-colored trilobite contrasts wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. The bug is well showcased on the natural-edged block of limestone. This is a very cool example of this large-eyed Phacopid trilobite from the Haragan Formation.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
