This is an unusual trilobite that we recently acquired from an old collection. It is a complete Tretaspis sortita from the Upper Ordovician of Wales. This prone trilobite is inflated and wonderfully articulated. The detail of this bug is quite nice. The cephalic fringe is preserved and decently displayed. The bug has nice color and contrast and is well showcased on the natural plate of matrix. And this is a split pair fossil - both halves are included. This is a nice, complete example of this classic "Old World" trilobite.
