Name:
Ectillaenus katzeri Age: Ordovician Formation: Sarka Formation Location: Czech Republic Size: Trilobite is 2.5 inches long Price:SOLD
Here is a great trilobite from a classic site. This is a large Ectillaenus katzeri from the Ordovician of the Czech Republic. This trilobite was mentioned by Barrande in 1856, but it was not described in 1872. Trilobites from the Czech Republic are becoming quite difficult to obtain. This isopygous trilobite is well preserved in a concretion. The complete bug is extremely inflated and nicely articulated. The natural, orangish color of the trilobite contrasts well with the grey matrix. This is an excellent example of Ectillaenus from a famous Old World location.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
