Here is a beautiful Lower Cambrian trilobite. This is a large Olenellus sp. from the Eager Formation of Canada. The trilobite is complete and wonderfully articulated. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The long pleural spines are nicely displayed and even a portion of the "tail spine" is seen. The crescent shaped eyes are quite evident. The bug is nicely positioned on the large, semi-rectangular plate of shale. This is an excellent specimen of a "classic" Lower Cambrian trilobite.
