This is an extremely rare Upper Cambrian trilobite. It is a Pterocephalia norfordi from British Columbia, Canada. This type has a wide, flat brim around the head and tail. The eyes and glabella are small and close together. This specimen is complete and exhibits very fine detail. The broad genal spines are wonderfully displayed and the large, wide brim of the cephalon is easily seen. The bug has good color and contrast. It is well centered on the naturally round, concretionary matrix. This is, perhaps, the nicest specimen we have ever had of this very unusual Upper Cambrian trilobite.
