Here is a Metacanthina barrandei from the Devonian of Morocco. The slightly arched bug is very 3-dimensional and nicely articulated. The thick exoskeleton preserves fine detail. Most of the individual lenses of the large eyes are easily seen. The long, broad genal spines have been prepared in a free-standing manner. The trilobite is well centered on the rounded piece of matrix. The black fossil exhibits nice contrast with the gray matrix. This is a very inflated example of Metacanthina barrandei from Morocco.
