This is simply a killer trilobite. It is an excellent Scabriscutellum furciferum from Morocco. This type is known for its large, broad tail and unusual shape. This specimen is possibly the best one of these we've had. It is almost perfectly symmetrical - this type had a habit of disarticulating very easily. The bug has great detail and is very clean. The holochroal compound eyes are super and display the tiny facets wonderfully. The greenish-brown trilobite contrasts beautifully with the powder-gray limestone matrix. This is a stunning textbook example of this uncommon Moroccan trilobite.
