Here is a very collectable trilobite. This is an excellent specimen of Olenellus fowleri from the Lower Cambrian of Nevada. This type of trilobite has a very broad cephalon with short genal spines, a thorax with long, flowing pleural spines, and a long opithothorax. This large bug is well articulated and nicely outstretched. The "leathery" texture of the genal areas is beautifully defined. And the overall detail of this specimen is amazing. This is a wonderful example of this highly sought-after Olenellid trilobite.
