This is an Encrinurus-like trilobite that is now being called Coronocephalus rex. This specimen comes from the Lower Silurian of China. This extremely prone trilobite is nicely inflated and is well positioned on the somewhat squared piece of matrix. The cephalon of the trilobite is covered with large pustules. The trilobite has excellent, very dark color and contrasts wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. This is a fine example of Coronocephalus from China.
