This is a nice Ordovician trilobite. It is a large Triarthrus becki from near Utica, New York. This specimen was found by Steve Hess in 1997. The detail of the trilobite is very nice. This type of trilobite has many segments, and this specimen is complete down to the tiny tail - usually the tail is missing. This is a good example of this classic New York trilobite.
