Here is a nice trilobite. This is a wonderful Elrathia kingi from the Cambrian of Utah. Although this species is one of the most prolific trilobites, this is an excellent specimen. The trilobite is complete and almost perfectly articulated. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The trilobite has been well prepared with an air abrasive machine to preserve the fine detail. The black bug contrasts nicely with the gray matrix. It is well positioned on the natural plate of shale. This is a very "clean" example of Elrathia kingi.
