This is a nice specimen of Ceraurus sp. from the Ordovician of Canada. This trilobite is nicely outstretched and somewhat inflated. It is wonderfully articulated and exhibits fine detail. The sweeping genal spines and the long pygidial spines are well displayed. The cream-colored fossil contrasts nicely with the gray matrix. The trilobite is almost perfectly centered on the squared plate of limestone. This is a very fine example of one of the most popular trilobites among collectors.
