Here is a very aesthetic specimen of Odontochile hausmani from the Devonian of Morocco. This fossil was recently acquired from the Valverde Collection, an important collection in Central America. The Odontochile is slightly contraflexed and wonderfully articulated. It is nicely inflated and preserves fine detail. The long sweeping genal spines and the caudal spine have all been prepared in a free-standing manner for optimal display. The large, crescent-shaped eyes extend above the carapace of the trilobite and are very prominently exhibited. This ancient arthropod has excellent color and contrast. It is beautifully centered on the somewhat rounded plate of matrix. This is a very displayable specimen of Odontochile hausmani from Morocco.
