This is a very displayable specimen of Reedops maurulus from the Devonian of Morocco. The trilobite is extremely inflated and exhibits good detail. The individual lenses of the eyes are easily seen. It is beautifully articulated with the cephalon tucked downward at a very slight angle and the thorax and pygidium very slightly contraflexed. The fossil has been prepared in high relief. The natural color of the trilobite contrasts nicely with the light-colored matrix. It is beautifully positioned on the rounded block of limestone that has been sawn flat on the bottom. This is a Reedops maurulus that would look great on anyone's shelf.
