This is a nice Paralejurus dormitzeri from the Devonian of Morocco. This trilobite is preserved in the "crawling position" with the cephalon and pygidium relatively prone and the thorax at almost a 45 degree angle. The specimen is very inflated and exhibits fine detail. Both of the free cheeks are present. The eyes are very prominently displayed. The thoracic pleurons end in sharp points. The fossil has great, natural color and contrasts very nicely with the lighter-colored matrix. It is well positioned on the somewhat rounded plate of limestone. This is a very fine specimen of this Scutellid trilobite.
