Here is a double specimen of Elrathia kingi from the Middle Cambrian of Utah. The smaller trilobite is complete and wonderfully articulated. Both free cheeks are intact and tightly attached. The larger specimen appears to be a molted exoskeleton. The trilobites are natural to the plate - no compositing or placement of specimens has been done. These ancient arthropods have great, black color and contrast nicely with the gray matrix. They are well presented on the natural plate of shale. This is a fine example of Elrathia kingi from Utah.
