This is a wonderful Russian trilobite plate. It is a slab with two unusual trilobites - Hoplolichas furcifer and Basilicus sp. Both trilobites are complete and near-perfectly outstretched. The Hoplolichas has been prepared with the horns and many body spines free-standing. The entire exoskeleton is covered with large pustules and tiny spines. The compound eye facets are large and practically flawless. It is simply as good as it gets. The Basilicus has fine detail, also. The thick shell exoskeleton is very well-preserved, and the natural butterscotch coloration is very aesthetic. Together, these trilobites form one of the most beautiful plates of Russian trilobites we have had. It is a killer display fossil worthy of any private or museum collection around the world.
