Here is a very striking trilobite. This is Ceratonurus sp. from the Devonian of Morocco. The trilobite is complete and nicely articulated. It is very 3-dimensional and exhibits fine detail. Both "fringed" free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The long genal and pleural spines are easily seen. The tiny, spiny pygidium is intact. This Odontopleurid trilobite has two extremely long and slender occipital spines. These occipital "horns", along with four long pleural spines, have been meticulously prepared in a free-standing manner. These six long spines, reaching toward the heavens, make for a fantastic display. The dark trilobite contrasts wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. It is beautifully presented on the large, rounded plate of limestone. This is a very appealing specimen of this spiny trilobite from Morocco.
