This is a very inflated specimen of Phacops speculator from the Devonian of Morocco. The trilobite is wonderfully articulated and exhibits fine detail. The individual lenses of the large, compound eyes are easily seen. The glabella displays the coarse granulation typical of the species. The bug has excellent, natural coloration and contrasts nicely with the lighter-colored matrix. It is well positioned on the rounded block of limestone. This is a pretty specimen of Phacops speculator from Morocco.
