Here is a nice double specimen of Asaphus (Neoasaphus) punctatus from the Ordovician of Russia. The trilobite on the left has the head tucked downward. The trilobite on the right is almost perfectly prone. Both trilobites are complete and nicely articulated. The free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The bugs are preserved in a 3-dimensional manner and exhibit fine detail. The extremely protruding eyes are nicely displayed. The dark, caramel-brown fossils contrast nicely with the cream-colored matrix. The trilobites are well positioned on the natural block of limestone. This is a very affordable double specimen of these Asaphid trilobites.
