This is simply an excellent trilobite. It is a large Calymene clavicula from Oklahoma. This specimen came from the Paul Richman Collection. The trilobite is complete and very well articulated (tail is present, but hard to see in the photos). The bug has both free cheeks tightly attached, and the eyes display prominently. And the color - the color is simple beautiful. But one of the best features of this trilobite is that it is fully inflated and 3-dimensional - no compression whatsoever. It would be hard to fine a better example of this type of trilobite.
