This is a nice Phacopid trilobite. It is a Reedops deckeri from Oklahoma. We have a trilobite lease in Oklahoma in the Haragan and Bois d'Arc Formations, so we can dig and prepare our own trilobites. This specimen was found on a large block of matrix, so when we prepared it, we left it this way. The trilobite has great detail - the very fine pustules on the entire exoskeleton are still intact. The large compound eyes are well preserved, and the shell of the bug has a beautiful natural two-toned caramel coloration. Although the outstretched trilobite looks like it is laying on its right side, both sides of the bug are prepared out. This is a very displayable example of this relatively uncommon Oklahoma trilobite.
