Here is a difficult-to-obtain trilobite. This is a large specimen of Viaphacops bomifrons from the Bois d'Arc Formation of Oklahoma. The trilobite is complete and prepared in high relief. This extremely inflated trilobite has absolutely no restoration. It has been meticulously cleaned in our prep lab to reveal the fine detail. This Phacopid trilobite has a small number of lenses in the eyes. It has a very large, pustulose glabella. The fossil has thick, caramel-colored exoskeleton that contrasts well with the cream-colored matrix. It is nicely perched on a semi-rectangular block of limestone. This is a striking specimen of Viaphacops from Oklahoma.
