Here is a fantastic display specimen of Gerastos (=Proetus) granulosus. This natural triple specimen is from the Devonian of Morocco. There has been no compositing done to this wonderful piece. All of the trilobites are complete and very 3-dimensional. The fossils are not preserved on one plane. Each trilobite can be seen in its entirety. The trilobites are prone and nicely articulated. The bugs have heavy, thick exoskeleton and exhibit fine detail. The large, bulbous glabellas display the fine granulation typical of this species. The eyes of the trilobites are easily seen. The short genal spines are quite evident. The trilobites have excellent color and contrast. They are well positioned on the rounded block of limestone. This is a very unusual and collectable specimen of Gerastos granulosus.
