This is a very fine example of Asaphus (Neoasaphus) cornutus from the Ordovician of Russia. The specimen is extremely prone and very 3-dimensional. The trilobite has good caramel brown color and contrasts quite nicely with the cream-colored matrix. The specimen is wonderfully articulated and is well positioned on the small block of limestone. This is a very good specimen of this smaller-eyed Asaphid from Russia.
