Here is a large specimen of Crotalocephalus gibbus. This beautiful trilobite is from the Devonian of Morocco. The bug is extremely inflated and wonderfully articulated. It exhibits very fine detail. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The small, beady eyes are nicely displayed. The pleurons end in sharp points. The trilobite has been prepared with the pygidial spines in a free-standing position. This ancient arthropod has excellent brown to black coloration. It contrasts nicely with the light-colored matrix. The fossil is well positioned on the natural block of limestone. This is a gorgeous display specimen of Crotalocephalus from Morocco.
