This is a wonderful specimen of Cyphaspis tafilaltense from the Devonian of Morocco. The trilobite is extremely inflated and beautifully articulated. The slightly arched trilobite exhibits superb detail. The large, bulbous glabella is covered with pustules. There are even pustules on the long, upswept genal spines. The small eyes are on stalks and very prominently displayed. The genal spines and the extremely long thoracic spine have been prepared in a free-standing manner. The trilobite has excellent color and contrast. It is nicely presented on the rounded plate of matrix. This is a very fine specimen of Cyphaspis with free-standing spines.
