This is a very nice trilobite trace fossil. It is a trilobite nest (Rusophycus pudicum) from the Ordovician of Kentucky. This nest was made by a Flexicalymene trilobite. The nest is very 3-dimensional. It is well centered on the rectangular plate. No trilobite collection is complete without one of these nests. This is a very detailed and collectible trace fossil.
