This is an unusual Moroccan trilobite. It is a Cryphina sp. from the Devonian Limestone layers. This type looks like a cross between a Metacanthina and an Asteropyge, with one main difference - this type has a large pointed snout emanating from the front of the head. This specimen is complete and mostly outstretched. The large compound eye facets are practically flawless. The head is tucked down slightly, so the genal spines were prepared free-standing. Also, the matrix has been beautifully sculpted. This is a very fine specimen of a horned Cryphina.
