This is a great specimen of Phacops crassituberculata from the Devonian of Ohio. The specimen is perfectly prone and wonderfully articulated. It is nicely inflated and exhibits incredible detail. The individual lenses of the eyes are near perfect. The glabella is very pustulose. The trilobite has terrific color and contrast. It is positioned on a large, semi-rectangular plate of shale. Quite simply, this is a beautiful trilobite from one of the most famous trilobite sites in the United States.
