This is a very well-prepared trilobite. It is a large Cornuproetus cornutus from Morocco. We prepared this specimen with the genal spines free-standing, giving it the appearance that it is "flying". The thick shell exoskeleton is very detailed - covered with tiny pustules. The bug is very 3-D and symmetrical. It is beautifully centered on the large chunk of finely-sculpted matrix. This is one of the most diplayable examples of this type that we have ever had.
