This is an unusual lichid trilobite. It is a Lobopyge (Type 2) from Morocco. This type has just recently been found, and it is markedly different than the Type 1. This specimen has great natural color and very fine detail. The pustules and small spines display beautifully. The bug sits on a natural, sculpted base of hard limestone. Not only is this an uncommon type of trilobite, it is also a very aesthetic bug. It is a wonderful example of this hard-to-find trilobite.
