Here is a very uncommon trilobite. This is Kloucekia sp. from the Ordovician of Morocco. This nicely outstretched specimen is very 3-dimensional and exhibits fine detail. The large compound eyes are easily seen and the short, pointed caudal spine is wonderfully intact. The extremely robust bug has great color and contrast. It is well positioned on the rounded, rectangular plate of matrix. This is, perhaps, the nicest example of Kloucekia from Morocco that we have seen.
