This is a very nice specimen of Ceraurus sp. from the Ordovician of Ontario. The trilobite is complete and nicely articulated. It exhibits very fine detail. Both free cheeks are intact and tightly attached. The long, sweeping genal spines are quite evident. Both of the long spines coming off of the pygidium are present. The exoskeleton of the trilobite has great, natural color. It contrasts nicely with the gray limestone matrix. It is almost perfectly centered on the rectangular plate of limestone. This is a very aesthetic specimen of one of everybody's favorite trilobites.
