Here is one big-eyed bug! This is a complete Treveropyge prorotundifrons from the Devonian of Morocco. This is a very difficult trilobite to obtain in good condition - and this one is superb! One glance will tell you what this trilobite is famous for - the huge compound eyes that are elevated above the glabella. This trilobite must have been able to see almost 360 degrees. One of the large eyes preserves the individual lenses in great condition while the other eye is merely immaculate! This trilobite is very 3-dimensional and beautifully articulated. This extremely prone specimen has wonderful dark brown color and contrasts well with the light gray matrix. This is a splendid example of one of the most sought-after non-spiny trilobites from Morocco.
