Here is a very nice specimen of, perhaps, the most prolific trilobite in the world. This is Elrathia kingi from the Middle Cambrian of Utah. Some collectors prefer their trilobites on matrix. We are happy to accommodate when possible. This trilobite is complete and very nicely articulated. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The trilobite has great, black color and good contrast with the lighter colored matrix. The trilobite is well centered on a natural plate of shale. This is a very good example of Elrathia kingi on matrix from Utah.
