Here is a great specimen of Actinopeltis sp. from the Ordovician of Morocco. This specimen is preserved in a concretion. Both halves of the concretion are present. The trilobite is complete and well articulated. It is preserved in a 3-dimensional manner. The pygidium of the trilobite is tucked downward slightly. This trilobite displays excellent detail. It exhibits a very large, bulbous glabella and very tiny eyes. The individual lappets of the pygidium are very distinct. The dark brown trilobite contrasts nicely with the lighter colored matrix. This is a splendid example of Actinopeltis from Morocco.
