This is an excellent specimen of Cornuproetus cornutus from the Devonian of Morocco. The specimen is wonderfully prone and beautifully articulated. The trilobite exhibits fine detail. The small crescent-shaped eyes of the trilobite are quite noticeable. The long, sweeping genal spines extend almost to the posterior of the trilobite. The trilobite has great, dark color and contrasts nicely with the light-colored matrix. The trilobite is well positioned on the natural slab of limestone. There is also a partial or enrolled specimen of Proetus granulosus on the same piece of matrix. This is a very displayable specimen of Cornuproetus cornutus.
