This is a very nice example of Ectillaenus perovalis from the Ordovician of Morocco. The specimen is complete and nicely articulated. Usually, this trilobite is preserved without the free cheeks. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached on this specimen. The specimen has been split out of a large matrix block. Both the trilobite and counterpart are present. (The counterpart is not pictured but will be included.) The trilobite has excellent, orangish color and contrasts nicely with the grayish-green matrix. This may be the best example of this trilobite we have seen.
