This is a very aesthetic specimen of Metacanthina barrandei from the Devonian of Morocco. The trilobite is very slightly contraflexed and nicely articulated. The trilobite has been prepared with the front of the cephalon in a free-standing position. The trilobite exhibits fine detail. The multi-faceted eyes are nicely displayed. The broad genal spines sweep downward in a pleasing manner. The trilobite has excellent, natural color and contrasts wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. It is well positioned on the rounded block of matrix. This is a very displayable specimen of Metacanthina.
