This is a very large specimen of Modocia hewlisca from the Upper Cambrian of Utah. The trilobite is complete and very nicely articulated. Both free cheeks are present and tight, which is an unusual condition for this particular trilobite. The fossil has great color and contrasts nicely with the yellowish matrix. It is well centered on a somewhat rectangular plate of matrix. This is a very displayable specimen of Modocia hewlisca.
