Here is an excellent example of Asaphiscus wheeleri from the Cambrian of Utah. This trilobite is complete and nicely articulated. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached - which is somewhat unusual. The trilobite has wonderful, shiny black exoskeleton that contrasts well with the grayish matrix. It is almost perfectly centered on the natural block of shale. This is a very appealing specimen of Asaphiscus wheeleri from Utah.
