Here is a nice example of Phacops speculator from the Devonian of Morocco. This trilobite has been preserved in the "crawling" position. The specimen is very 3-dimensional and tightly articulated. The trilobite exhibits fine detail. Almost every one of the individual eye facets are easily seen. The pustules on the glabella are quite evident. The specimen has great color and contrasts nicely with the lighter colored matrix. The specimen is well centered on the rounded block of matrix. This is a very affordable Phacops from Morocco.
