This is a very good specimen of Crotalocephalus gibbus from the Devonian of Morocco. The trilobite is complete and nicely articulated. It is almost prone and wonderfully inflated. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The specimen exhibits fine detail. The small eyes are quite distinct. The pygidial spines are very easy to see. The pleurons of the trilobite end in sharp points. The trilobite has beautiful, natural coloration and contrasts nicely with the lighter colored matrix. It is well centered on the rounded block of limestone. This is a nice specimen of this odd-looking trilobite.
