This is an Encrinurus-like trilobite that is now being called Coronocephalus rex. This specimen comes from the Lower Silurian of China. The trilobite is nicely inflated and is well positioned on a semi-rectangular piece of matrix. The cephalon of the trilobite is covered with large pustules. The trilobite has excellent, very dark color and contrasts wonderfully with the yellowish matrix. This is a nice example of Coronocephalus from China.
