This is a very nice specimen of Cornuproetus cornutus from the Devonian of Morocco. The trilobite is very inflated and nicely articulated. The fossil exhibits very fine detail, even exhibiting the granulated surface of the exoskeleton. The long, flowing genal spines extend past the posterior of the pygidium. The trilobite has great natural color and superb contrast with the light-colored matrix. It is well presented on a rounded block of matrix. This is a very pretty specimen of Cornuproetus.
