This is a very unique specimen of Labiostria westropi from the Upper Cambrian of British Columbia, Canada. Usually, these trilobites are found in small isolated nodules. In this specimen, the nodule is encased in a hefty piece of shale. The large trilobite is well articulated and exhibits fine detail. The pleurons of the trilobite extend into sharp-pointed spines. These spines are easily seen. The dark, natural color of the trilobite contrasts very nicely with the gray matrix. The trilobite is well positioned on the matrix block. This is a very displayable example of Labiostria from Canada.
